What is a staffing agency?

Also known as an employment agency or staffing company, a staffing agency works to provide employers with employees (or staff) for specific job openings. Staffing agencies are experienced in finding, interviewing, and vetting candidates or job seekers. PSS actively maintains a candidate data base in an applicant tracking system (or ATS) where we can quickly access important information regarding our qualified and readily available job candidates to present to our clients for job opportunities.

Are you a temp agency?

The majority of job opportunities we work on are for permanent positions called temp-to-hire positions where you would be an employee of PSS for a certain amount of time before our client hires you on as their permanent employee. We do however receive temporary positions from our clients as well. They may be for a week or for several months depending on our client's needs.

What types of jobs do you have?

Premier Staffing Solutions works with clients/employers in many different industries. We specialize in hiring accountants, bookkeepers, administrative associates, general labor / light industrial workers, customer service representatives, information technology specialists, food service workers, and healthcare administrators.

Do you charge a fee?

PSS does not charge our candidates a fee.

Do you accept walk-in appointments?

PSS does not accept walk-in appointments. Please call us at 910-793-1010 to schedule an appointment with our staffing coordinator.

Do I need a resume to apply?

Our clients expect us to provide them with resumes so we expect you to provide us with a resume. If you don't have access to a computer or don't have computer experience, we will help you prepare a resume.

How will I be paid?

Once we hire you to work for one of our clients, you will be paid every Friday for the previous week. We encourage paying you via direct deposit to your bank account.

Will I receive any benefits?

Most positions are temp-to-hire positions. Holiday pay is available after 1200 hours of employment is completed. 35 hours of vacation pay is available after 1500 consecutive hours of employment. Most employees are comfortably employed by the client long before they earn these benefits from PSS.
